Shabbat Shuvah Morning Service & Lunch – Sat. October 5

Shabbat Shuvah is the Sabbath that falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Its name comes from the first word of the week’s Haftarah portion: Shuvah, meaning ”return”,  and also reminds us of Teshuva – “repentance”, a central concept of the High Holidays.

This first Shabbat of 5785 is a time for reflection leading up to the atonement of Yom Kippur. Please join us to hear the Torah and Haftarah portions read, and to take time to reflect on the year just past and the year ahead.

If you will be staying for lunch, please RSVP to Ritual@ckibbnj.org
